Anticipated Movies - 2025
2025 is officially here, and with it comes a wave of highly anticipated films that promise to dazzle audiences. ScreamInn Media has compiled a list of must-see movies set to dominate screens this year. From the heroic return of Superman to the thrilling escapades of Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning and the action-packed spin-off Ballerina, there’s something for everyone. Let’s dive into the cinematic adventures awaiting us in 2025!
Wolf Man (01/17)
Maybe 2025 could start off with a bang? A new take on the classic monster from the director of 2020’s excellent The Invisible Man sure gives me a lot of hope. Fingers crossed this one is good.
Mickey 17 (03/07)
Director Bong Joon-ho. That’s all I needed to hear to sell me on this (Parasite and Snowpiercer are my favorites, but seriously all of his movies are good). And yet we got a fantastic trailer with what looks to be a wacky performance from Robert Pattinson that sold me even more. I am simply too seated.
Sinners (04/18)
The legendary duo of Ryan Coogler and Michael B. Jordan are back. I don’t think Coogler has made a film we haven’t enjoyed, and the fact that this looks to tap into horror…how can one not be excited?
Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning (05/23)
Hoooooly shit, the end of an era! The supposed final film in the McQuarrie/Cruise stunt show has been on our minds ever since these two movies were announced. We cannot wait to see what they have in store for us in one of the best action franchises ever made.
From the World of John Wick: Ballerina (06/06)
Of all the movies on this list, this might be the one I’m most nervous for. We’re both enormous John Wick fans, although haven’t been that interested in that spin off show. Not to mention this doesn’t have Chad Stathelski in the director’s chair. But the trailer is promising, and Ana De Armas being a badass is too big to pass up.
28 Years Later (06/20)
Danny Boyle returns to the zombie franchise that changed everything. This was already exciting to hear, then the trailer got us on a whole other level of hyped. If you’re mixed, check out that trailer. It will not disappoint.
Superman (07/11)
There is no ranking these, but I can say without a doubt this is our most anticipated movie of 2025. James Gunn hasn’t disappointed us yet with his DCEU (Creature Commandos is really fun if you haven’t seen it yet), but this Superman is definitely the big test here. The trailer had us both so hyped we watched it multiple times. David Corenswet looks great as Superman and Clark Kent. It being set in a world full of superheroes is great. It looks optimistic and hopeful which is exactly what Superman should be. The most excited we’ve been for a superhero movie in a while.
Predator: Badlands (11/07)
A Predator film with a predator as the main character?? Holy shit! What else is left for there to say?
Wicked: For Good (11/21)
Wicked was undeniably one of the most successful films to make waves in 2024 and for a very good reason! The cast was not only stunning but also delivered stellar performances, the music was incredible and truly captivating, and the film was just an all-around good time at the theater for audiences of all ages. It made Braden’s top 10 list of the overall year! How can we not be excited for the next and final piece of this story that is sure to resonate with fans once again this Thanksgiving?
Havoc (TBA)
Had to throw this one in there because I read it is eyeing an early 2025 release on Netflix, and I sure hope that’s true. I don’t know much about this besides the fact that it stars Tom Hardy and is directed by Gareth Evans. For those who don’t know, Gareth Evans is the mastermind behind two of the greatest action films ever made: The Raid 1 & 2. Ever since seeing those movies, I am in for whatever this guy makes.
Fingers crossed on all of these. Here’s hoping 2025 brings us plenty of great movies!
